X-Files:
Season 8 is the next installment of the X-Files Premium
Trading Card Series from Inkworks. It follows the highly successful Seasons
4 & 5 and Seasons 6 & 7 products and focuses on
the re-energized and highly popular
Season 8 episodes. The
90-card base set is filled with scenes from Doggett’s first
full season, Scully’s search for Mulder as well as all of
the strange and insightful storylines of Season 8.
Like the previous Inkworks products, X-Files: Season 8
is loaded with episodic coverage, behind-the-scenes views and
includes multiple images on each card.
In
addition to the base set, collectors will have the opportunity
to find several levels of randomly inserted bonus cards:
BELIEVE
TO UNDERSTAND – Three special foil puzzle cards. This group of three cards completes a nine-card puzzle that
was inserted into the card sets from Seasons 4 & 5 and
Seasons 6 & 7. (Approximately
1:11 packs).
THE
SEARCH FOR MULDER – A six card collection that utilizes
a unique printing technology. (Approximately 1:17 packs).
PIECEWORKS
CARDS – Two cards featuring Mulder’s shirt and
Doggett’s tie. Each
memorabilia card has actual pieces of the items, which were
worn during Season 8, embedded in the card. (Approximately
1:115 packs).
AUTOGRAPHED
CARDS – Annabeth
Gish (Agent Monica Reyes), James Pickens Jr. (Deputy Director
Kersh), Adam Baldwin (Knowle Rohrer), Tom Braidwood (Frohike -
Lone Gunman). (Approximately 1:48 packs).
SPECIAL
PROMOTIONAL CARDS – Three different box loader cards (1
per sealed display box) and a special case loader card
featuring Lucy Lawless’ character from Season 9 (1 per
shipping case).
Packs
of X-Files: Season 8 have a suggested retail price of
$2.99. Each pack contains nine cards with 24 packs per display box.
Each display box will be printed with holographic foil
to enhance the appearance and collectability.
In addition, there will be a new premium X-Files
Collector Album for Season 8 that has been enhanced with
holographic foil stock, which creates an prismatic illusion.
